French for 13 to 18 years old

13 year olds

During the course, the 13-year-olds will consolidate their B1 level in French whilst embarking on level B2. They will improve both their oral and written expression.
Thanks to the stories, that hold their interest, the children on this course will learn a wide variety of phrasal verbs and will begin to understand grammatical rules. They will go on to use these in different contexts in their daily lives.

14 year olds

The main objective of this course is for the students to achieve a level equivalent to the DELF, equivalent to level B2 of the CEFR. The students will perfect their writing abilities by working on extensive texts like essays, stories, articles or reports which include a wide variety of words and complex structures.

15 year olds

The 15-year-olds will work on more complicated grammatical structures and will learn to give detailed descriptions of specific situations. They will also be able to give their opinions in French and defend a point of view on general topics, giving the pros and cons.

17 year olds

The students will continue to widen their linguistic knowledge and gain fluency and the ability to express themselves correctly in French in the personal, professional or educational sphere.

16 year olds

Throughout this course, we will work to enrich the French consolidated up to now with a more varied and refined vocabulary, looking for differences between words and expressions which, at first sight, may appear to be synonyms. This lexical subtlety will allow us to give more detailed descriptions to express more complicated ideas.

18 year olds

The final objective for this course is to obtain a level equivalent to C2 of the CEFR. This means that the students will be able to express themselves spontaneously, fluently and precisely in any situation and will know how to distinguish subtle shades of meaning. They will also be able to write complicated texts in French, using the required style and register, as well as the ideal vocabulary and expressions according to the context.
